Scope and intent
ModernDoc publishes educational summaries, not diagnoses or treatment plans. We choose topics where a sourced, plain-language explanation can help a reader understand the evidence and know when professional care may be needed.
Source selection
We aim to use primary research, systematic reviews, public-health bodies, regulators, and established medical references. Check source links against the claim you are reading. A citation alone is not verification.
Research monitors and the COVID audit
Research monitors use a separate collection and publication process. Article publication gates do not establish that monitor entries passed the same checks. An October 2026 audit found citation errors in older COVID entries, and our earlier process description overstated coverage. See the dated correction record for the current limits and work remaining.
Drafting and automated checks
AI may draft and revise an article. Automated checks are not clinician review and cannot guarantee accuracy. Read the stated review status and compare claims with their cited sources.
Publication and freshness
A publication or update date is not a source-verification or clinical-review date. Medical evidence may change after a page is published.
